Bucheon City of Literature

Bucheon Residency

The Bucheon UNESCO City of Literature Residency Program is an international exchange initiative of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network that provides writers, translators, and comic artists with dedicated workspaces and accommodation, enabling them to immerse themselves in their creative practice in a new cultural environment.
Launched in 2020, the program aims to foster international collaboration, encourage dialogue among creators, and promote creativity while introducing Korean readers to diverse literary and artistic voices from around the world. At the same time, it offers participants the opportunity to gain fresh inspiration through their experiences in Bucheon, where a new environment and unfamiliar surroundings become catalysts for creative exploration.
